- Please note that this will not work anymore against a Courier if it's
- on leased line mode (&L1).

- I've been using the combination of one leased line modem, and one not for
- years without problems. It can be easily automatized if you put the leased
- one in the answering side/mode.

- BUT, latest Couriers firmware, have a strange behaviour in leased line mode.
- They will not negotiate carrier with a Sportser, _unless_ you disable both
- V.34 and V.FC in the Courier. It does work on firmware dated back to march
- 1995, but not later ones.

- I tried to bring this to some USR engineers, but the answer was that using
- a SPortster for leased line is not a supported feature.
